Accessibility for Vision Care and the Multisensory Experience in Society

Theme 5

Exploration of the cultural significance of vision and vision loss among remote communities, and the current challenges in eye health faced by Indigenous and marginalized communities.

This subcluster will undertake research in ehealth and outreach studies, as we respectfully understand how certain groups have had inequitable access  eye care.

Additionally, we will explore how partially-sighted people perceive the world through multi-sensory experiences. In particular, we will explore how partially-sighted people experience artistic creation through touch, smell, and hearing.
