New invention: Plant-based, aqueous, water-repellent sprays for coating textiles

Congratulations to Dr. Johan Foster on his latest publication, "Plant-based, aqueous, water-repellent sprays for coating textiles" published in Soft Matter. Dr. Foster's research group developed an environmentally-friendly water-repellent spray that could be used at home on textiles such as cotton T-shirts. The water-repellent spray was both more environmentally friendly than commercially available products and had greater water repellency. Dr. Foster is a faculty member in Subcluster 3: Eye Tissue Substitutes in the Vision Research Cluster.
