Dr. Mary Lou Jackson is an ophthalmologist in the UBC/VGH Department of Ophthalmology who provides Vision Rehabilitation consultations. She has previously worked in multidisciplinary Vision Rehabilitation clinics in Boston at the Massachusetts Eye And Ear Infirmary and the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC. She is a past chair of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Vision Rehabilitation Committee.

Dr. Mahyar Etminan is an epidemiologist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Medicine at the University of British Columbia. His area of research is focused in ocular epidemiology and drug safety using large population-based databases. In recent years, he has also taken a keen interest in the science of causation.
Dr. Etminan has published close to 200 publications some of which have appeared in journals such as JAMA, JAMA Ophthalmology, BMJ, Lancet Public Health and International Journal of Epidemiology.
Results from his studies have also been used by the FDA, Health Canada and the European Medicines Agency in issuing worldwide safety alerts.
