Sean Dang is a medical student working across a wide range of clinical projects, currently in thoracic surgery, respirology, anesthesia, and ophthalmology, with recent work alongside retina and glaucoma specialists. His research spans scoping reviews, systematic reviews with meta-analysis, and retrospective chart studies.
He'd love to collaborate with clinical researchers whose work directly improves the quality of healthcare services and patient well-being; that link between research and real patient outcomes is what draws him to this kind of work.
Outside the clinic, Sean has always been into sports. He currently plays in an adult volleyball league and used to play soccer at the provincial level, plus he lifts weights to stay in shape. At home he tinkers with his car and reads fantasy fiction, and he's always up for exploring new food spots around Vancouver with friends. He loves traveling to places where he can actually talk to locals; a road trip along the coast of Vietnam took him from mountains to city streets to ocean beaches, and the conversations along the way were the best part. And yes, he has a cat, a white British Shorthair named Yurei who insists on being involved in everything he does and cuddles strictly on his own terms. Ask him for a picture!
