Department of Computer Science

Faculty of Science

Ms. Perryman completed her Bachelor of Computer Science at Carleton University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Computer Science at UBC. Ms. Perryman's areas of expertise are in machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and generative modelling. Recently, Ms. Perryman has been working on image and video generation, audio-to-image translation, and biologically plausible neural networks for mental imagery. If she could work with other types of researchers, Ms. Perryman would collaborate with computational neuroscientists and neuro-engineers to further understand the brain. This collaboration would provide insights into how machine learning and artificial intelligence can be improved.

When she is not doing research, Ms. Perryman enjoys paragliding, rock climbing, kite boarding, whitewater kayaking, surfing and snow kiting.
