Undergraduate Student
Trainee
Department of Biochemistry
Faculty of Medicine
Mr. Irani is currently a student in Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry at the UBC. His areas of expertise are biochemistry, chemistry, and data analyses. Recently, Mr. Irani has been actively working on chromogen, 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole (AEC)- and Alexa488-staining of human retina samples. He is also working on a new bleaching technique paired with toluidine blue (tol blu) staining to identify possible mast cells in the retina. If Mr. Lyden could collaborate with other researchers, he would work with clinical researcher, because he would like to understand the processes behind finding a possible solution to a disease and applying it in the hopes of obtaining results that could help the public. He would also like to work with qualitative and quantitative researchers.
During his spare time, Mr. Irani 3D animates. He also has a dog and a cat!
