Ms. Zhu completed her Bachelor of Science at Queen's University, specializing in neuroscience. She is currently going into the second year of Medicine at the UBC. Recently Ms. Zhu has been volunteering at the Matsubara lab for the last couple of months and also completed her FLEX project. Ms. Zhu's research project is related to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). She is interested in understanding the role of granzyme B in AMD and how it impacts pathological neovascularization.
Ms. Zhu loves to read autobiographies. She finds that it's so interesting to learn about other people's stories!
