Ehsan Misaghi is currently an MD/PhD student at the University of Alberta. He completed his Master of Science degree in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta. 
 
Misaghi's research interest is in the genetic correlates of retinal degenerations. Recently Misaghi has been investigating in the role of PIKFYVE in the retinal pigment epithelium and the role of the planar cell polarity pathway in the closure of the superior ocular sulcus.
 
If Misaghi were to collaborate with another reearcher, he would be interested in working with clinical researchers to gain clinical perspectives as well as foundational scientists and biochemists to gain more perspective about basic science.
