Debon Lee completed his BSc in Pharmacology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is currently pursuing his MD at the UBC’s Vancouver-Fraser Medical Program (C2029). As a member of the Matsubara Lab, Debon is investigating ocular changes associated with Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), with the goal of identifying non-invasive biomarkers and enabling the early diagnosis of AD via in vivo imaging. His current research utilizes mouse models of AD to examine the cornea for signs of neurodegeneration and immune activation associated with AD pathology.
Debon aspires to combine his research work with his ongoing education as a clinician, helping to translate research findings into clinically meaningful outcomes. In his spare time, Debon enjoys swimming, model building, and plane watching.
