Dr. Leavitt received his Bachelor of Science and his MBSC/MDCM degree at McGill University. His area of specialization is in neurogenetics. Recently, Dr. Leavitt has been working on non-viral delivery of CRISPR genome editing in vivo in brain and eye. If he could collaborate with other researchers, he would work with clinical trial researchers and collaborate on pre-clinical models of genetic eye diseases.

Dr. Leavitt's hobby is sports such as hockey and surfing.
