Amir recently completed his BSc in Neuroscience at UBC and is now pursuing an MSc in Experimental Medicine, focusing on the role of extracellular Granzyme B in pterygium. Driven by a passion for eye research, Amir has contributed to various projects, including studies on Alzheimer's disease in the human neuroretina—specifically ocular glymphatic drainage—and investigations into the role of extracellular Granzyme B in the pathogenesis and progression of wet age-related macular degeneration using post-mortem human eyes.
In his spare time, Amir enjoys reading, exercising, and spending quality time with friends and family.
