Dr. Xu completed her MD at the University of British Columbia. Her area of expertise is in retinal biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease. Recently, she has been working on astrocyte and microglial immunostaining in the retina of Alzheimer donors. If she were to collaborate with other types of researchers, Dr. Xu would collaborate with bioengineers to quantify the changes seen in retinal biomarkers.

During her spare time, Dr. Xu loves rock climbing!
