New Paper from Dr. Simpson's Lab Explains the Importance of Retinoschisin Expressed by Retinal Bipolar Cells in Retinoschisis
October 14, 2022
New paper by Dr. Elizabeth Simpson's research group reveals that retinoschisin (RS1) gene expression primarily in bipolar cells of the x-linked retinoschisis (XLRS) mouse retina can reduce retinoschisis structural pathology. This result provides further evidence of RS1 role in cell adhesion. This work is published in Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science.
