Congratulations to Dr. Kendall Ho for his contribution to the research study, "Concordance between 8-1-1 HealthLink BC Emergency iDoctor-in-assistance (HEiDi) virtual physician advice and subsequent health service utilization for callers to a nurse-managed provincial health information telephone service", published in BMC Health Services Research. This study reveals that concordance between virtual physician advice and subsequent caller health service use varies substantially by category of advice and caller rurality. Concordance with advice to “Go to an emergency department” is high overall but to access primary care is low, suggesting potential issues with timely access to family physician care. Dr. Ho is a member of Subcluster 2: Brain Imaging and Artificial Intelligence.
